Compulsory insurance of immovable property is provided by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Compulsory Insurance". Compulsory insurance of immovable property is applied to compensate for damage caused by fire or other occurrences as a result of damage, destruction or loss in any form.
For these purposes, insurance of buildings, residential and non-residential areas, residential buildings, buildings and apartments, as well as state property belonging to legal entities and individuals is considered compulsory.
Compulsory insurance of residential buildings, apartments includes their structural elements, premises, including doors and windows, including glass, water, sewerage and gas supply, as well as heating pipes, communications, electrical and other wires, decorative elements, etc. and also guarantees all types of external or internal troweling and plastering, damage to walls, ceilings and floors.
Compulsory insurance of immovable property is not applied by construction that is considered unauthorized in accordance with Article 180 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the demolition of real estate objects in accordance with the City Planning and Construction Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
